Your role
The IT Global Change Manager (m/f/d) will develop and implement IT Change Management strategies and processes to ensure efficient and effective technology system changes in Group IT, ensuring the adoption of an aligned Change Management Process lifecycle both internally and with our external vendors. You will drive the proper testing, documentation, and approval of all technology changes according to company standards and coordinate the efficient service delivery of assigned external partners (e.g., service desk, outsourced 2nd and 3rd level support teams) within established service levels. Furthermore, you will contribute to the categorization of standard, normal or emergency changes, identify potential risks and issues associated with system changes and develop necessary adjustments and mitigation plans to minimize potential roadblocks or delays.
1. With a special focus on emergency and high-risk changes, you will ensure timely support and prioritization of required changes based on urgency and business impact, and coordinate efforts for the efficient issue resolution and risk mitigation. This includes proactive communication and coordination with key stakeholders, including senior management, for escalations or to gain buy-in and support for technology changes.
2. With a continuous improvement mindset, you will monitor, track and analyze problem and incident trends to identify and propose process or technical improvements to ensure prioritization and timely implementation in close collaboration with the relevant IT teams or subject matter experts. In this context, you will be responsible for post-implementation reviews, developing change reports and KPIs that reflect the performance of the IT Change Management process, and communicating known issues.
3. As an IT Change Management Subject Matter Expert, you will provide guidance, mentoring and support to other IT professionals on the team to effectively manage and implement technology changes and to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT department.
About you
4. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
5. At least 5 years of experience in change management or IT project management in a consulting, services or corporate environment
6. Documented experience in managing and implementing complex IT changes in large, multinational organizations; preferably in the manufacturing industry
7. Excellent understanding of IT processes and methodologies (ITIL); ITIL certification required
8. Expertise in processes, technology, software and hardware
9. Familiarity with IT service management/ticketing tools, preferably ServiceNow
10. Strong analytical and time management skills with proven ability to effectively solve problems and set priorities
11. Demonstrated collaboration, facilitation and cross-functional teamwork skills
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
13. Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills advantageous
