We are currently looking to fill the following part-time position (pre-doc, 65%): Academic Researcher (m/f/x) at the Chair of International Security Policy (pre-doc, 65%) Due to a parental leave replacement this is a temorary position that starts on Dec.1st 2024 and ends on January 31st 2026. Collaboration in sub-project D04 “Affective Contestation: Dynamics of a contested emotion policy in European migration policy” as part of the third term of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1171 “Affective Societies” Participation in case studies on emotion discourses in the context of European migration policy Own research work (e.g. as part of a doctorate) Administrative activities (e.g. organization of a methods workshop) Very good master’s degree in the social sciences or related fields Very good methodological knowledge in discourse analysis, content analysis and/or social media analysis Very good written and spoken English skills Teaching experience is an advantage Willingness to work closely with the other sub-projects of the CRC at the Free University of Berlin (place of work is Friedrichshafen or Berlin) We offer you a varied and challenging job in an innovative working and learning environment with currently more than 230 exceptional and dedicated colleagues as well as 700 students, thirsty for knowledge and action.
