AND EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany. Hauptaufgaben Uses a thorough knowledge of supply regulations/policies. High proficiency with STAMIS systems (PBUSE, FEDLOG, TCAIMS) to perform continuing assignments encompassing a variety of problem situations with considerable independence. Enters data into multiple STAMIS systems. Updates databases. Retrieves and analyzes data and uses data to respond to variety of customer, program review and vendor inquiries. Ensures consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for both newly entered and previously entered data. Performs a combination of tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of a wide variety of supplies, forms, and publications. Items include printed material for use in special programs, as well as technical equipment, office furniture, office machines, and other non-expendable property. Extracts data from automated logistics databases as directed or as necessary to accomplish specific task. Compiles, prepares and maintains statistics summary data/reports as required. Research is accomplished using the various STAMIS systems, LOGSA databases and various automation data products. Prepares e-mail and web messages, memoranda, and info papers, which identify supply transactions problems and recommend corrections. Coordinates freely within all organizations directorates to achieve problem resolution. Conducts telephone liaison with higher headquarters, all other USAREUR major subordinate commands and with USAREUR unit property book officers. Examines items received; notes overages, shortages, or any damages incurred in shipping; prepares detailed reports as required. Items to be received, stored and issued will vary from rolling stock, to Small Arms including Class II, IIIP, IIIB, VII and IX items. Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletions. Identifies potential discrepancies and resolves problems. Reconstructs records to support transactions. Requisitions items to replenish stocks, obtain substitutes, and acquire new products. Maintains perpetual inventory records (property book) of non-expendable property for the organization serviced. When property is declared excess in any location, verifies accurate description and quantity available. Circulate notifications of excess property available for other serviced units, prepares transfer documents according to prescribed procedures, or, where no need exists, completes declarations of excess property. Circulates reports of excess property submitted by other offices or agencies to identify those with potential for local use, and, after need for item is approved by a local operating office, prepare requisitions for items to be transferred. When non-expendable property is lost, damaged, or destroyed, prepares survey reports. Maintains a perpetual inventory of a wide spectrum of non-expendable property and informal supply records of durable items in the organization. Prepares reports and appropriate documentation on excess and unserviceable items, disposing of, or transferring them, by direction of the regional accountable officer. Conducts special, joint, or annual inventories of hand receipt accounts in conjunction with the hand receipt holder and adjusts records based on the fillings. Takes action, in accordance with regulations/policies procedures, when property is lost, damaged or destroyed. Turns-in to, or receives excess property from, the servicing defense reutilization and marketing office and arranges appropriate transportation therefore. Issues accountable items too. Ensures adequate controls for accountable property are maintained by property holders by periodically inspections. Operates motorized material handling equipment (MHE), powered by either, battery, propane, gasoline or diesel, such as a stock selector or forklift trucks in order to lift loads weighing under 20,000 pounds as high as 15 feet. The MHE's are operated to load/unload, transfer, transport, and stack/unstack palletized goods, boxes, crates, merchandise, materials and supplies from one location to another. May drive MHEs over wood, concrete, or similar type floors through narrow aisles in buildings, warehouse facilities, and occasionally outside over rough surfaces. Follows general safety practices in operating equipment and performs operator's maintenance on equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
