Sports club membership included. Responsibilities: You manage an experienced team of nine IoT system engineers and software engineers. You work 50% to guide the team regarding the system architecture, security standards, devops, troubleshooting and debugging. You work 40% as the manager that sets the vision. You work 10% hands-on and help the team with software development. You transform IoT requirements into scalable, secure and efficient backend solutions. Your department optimizes and automates consistently the software performance by spotting potential problems and solving them. You work with technologies like Python, Linux Bash, GNU Make, GNU Compiler Collection, GNU Binutils, GNU Debugger, GNU Autotools, as well as Networking and Security Concepts. Your profile: You are a technical lead right now. You are guiding your team right now on technical decisions regarding code development, system architecture, routing, firewalling, ideally with GNU tools, TCP, UDP, DNS, NAT. You are fluent in Python or in C++, and an expert in the design, implementation, migration, deployment, observability, monitoring of a production system. You have IoT experience. You understand the concepts of distributed systems within IoT in depth. You are able to work with Bash scripting and the Linux command line. Minimum of 8 years experience as a Software and/or System Engineer. Fluent in English, any other language is a plus, especially Russian or Ukrainian. You are happy to come to the office in Munich 3 days a week.
