Winter Semester 2025/26 - limited to 5-6 months
YOUR TASKS:
* Research existing AI algorithms for image-based object detection and classification.
* Analyze and evaluate these algorithms for their suitability with a high-resolution 3D-ToF camera.
* Select an appropriate external target hardware for algorithmic image processing.
* Define requirements and establish key criteria for system integration.
* Develop a prototype for 3D-supported object recognition and integrate it into the target hardware.
* Test functionality in the lab environment based on defined key parameters.
YOUR PROFILE:
* Studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or a similar technical field.
* Basic knowledge in developing and applying AI algorithms, ideally in image-based object detection.
* Experience in programming with Python, C++, or a comparable language.
* Interest in 3D image processing technologies and ToF cameras.
* Independent, structured working style and analytical thinking skills.
