The logistics manager leads the Warehouse Management Team, the Shopfloor team, and the Shipping team. The manager oversees and coordinates the whole value stream of logistics from receiving, putaways, picking, packaging, and shipping. In this role, a typical day will look like: Supervising and training the team of 100 associates of the logistics department. Developing and implementing logistics strategies and plans to meet business objectives. Optimizing logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counts and the annual PI. Establishing and maintaining department performance metrics (KPIs). Responsible for the budget of the department. Manage all departmental functions setting goals and objectives for the team and individuals. Utilize logistics software and systems to manage operations. Implement new technologies to improve logistics processes. The essential requirements of the job include : Master's or Bachelor Degree in Logistics or similar. 5 - 10 years of management experience and people management. 4 or more years of logistics experience preferred in a regulated environment. Fluent in German and proficient in English. ASCM. APICS of CLTD qualification preferred. Lean knowledge and mindset preferred.
