Job Title: Finance Manager EMEA (f/m/d)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Mainz, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data and trends, monitoring the financial performance of the business, and developing measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze financial data and trends to support business decision-making
* Monitor the financial performance of the business and develop measures to improve efficiency and profitability
* Determine budgets with the business and review them regularly, taking countermeasures as necessary
* Analyze cost structures, identify opportunities to reduce costs or increase efficiency, and work to improve financial processes and systems
* Develop long-term business strategies and prepare relevant input from the finance side
* Prepare financial reports and presentations for management to communicate financial position and progress
* Manage accounting tasks, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting
* Oversee payment processing for Germany and France
* Lead cooperation with external tax advisors in four European countries
* Prepare and review internal and external financial reports
* Budget entry and forecast work for Germany (including branch offices) and France
* Liaise with third-party suppliers
* Assist with local insurance policies while liaising with Corporate
* Serve as main contact for financial, tax, customs, and social security authorities in local matters
* Provide professional support and counsel to other European locations
Requirements:
* Degree in business administration with a focus on finance and tax law or qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
* At least 10 years of experience in accounting, controlling, preferably in an international operating company
* Solid knowledge of accounting standards according to HGB and US GAAP, ideally experience with accounting processes in other European countries
* Strong proficiency in SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel
* Analytical thinking skills and a structured, detail-oriented work approach
* Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are an advantage
