For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a
Financial Operations - Operational Assistant (M/F)
The (Senior) Operational assistant will coordinate and provide office support and secretarial assistance in order to contribute to the effective day-to-day operation
Accountabilities
• Provide comprehensive operational support to Mandate Officers
• Assist in the monitoring, following-up and reporting on operations supported under European Commission (EC)
• Assist in the production & dispatch of reports and compile information, according to needs and deadlines
• Assist on the development of new blending proposals and subsequent contractual agreements
• Contribute to the drafting of letters and briefing notes, follow up on signatures, ensuring timely reminders and smooth exchanges with counterparts
• Pro-actively contribute to the maintenance/update and quality control of the databases (cancellations, amendments…). This includes timely and accurate document filing, data collection, and system updates.
• Assist in collecting the documentation for external audits mandated by EC or European Court of Auditors
• Answer ad hoc requests/questions from Mandate Officers and other services related to the tasks involved with
• Support the team in maintaining procedural guidelines.
Profil
• At least secondary level education, complemented with a 2-year higher certification in a relevant field (ideally in finance or economics, legal, business administration) or with equally qualified experience in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience at senior operational support level
• Knowledge and/or exposure to development organisations would be an asset
• Good knowledge of the Bank's standard computer tools, particularly MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Business Objects and IT systems (Serapis, GED, ASApp) would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Working knowledge of French would be an advantage (French optional)
This is a great opportunity for a long-term temporary contract (initial 2-month contract+ several extensions)
Salaire: either 4250€ or 5000€ gross/month, depending on years of experience
