About the Role
The role seamlessly blends underwriting expertise with engaging client and broker interactions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. If you possess an entrepreneurial spirit and seek to be part of a fast-paced and flexible environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
The role is based in Frankfurt or Hamburg.
Key responsibilities:
* Conducting underwriting for both new and existing clients, aligning with internal guidelines while prioritizing client satisfaction in close collaboration with an experienced Senior Underwriter.
* Managing and taking full accountability for assigned clients and transactions originating new business opportunities and processing attractive transactions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
* Analyzing and assessing underlying counterparty and transactional risks in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Approving transactions within own underwriting authority or preparing transaction referrals.
* Regularly interacting with clients and brokers to gather relevant information ensuring diligent underwriting, exposure, and risk management.
* Supporting Senior Underwriters in executing and monitoring of complex bespoke transactions and managing key accounts.
* Identifying and monitoring underwriting trends market developments, and legal changes affecting credit and other structural risks.

About You
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, has strong analytical skills, efficient time management, and likes to be hands on providing solutions. Most importantly is your willingness to learn and be part of making the world more resilient.
You have:
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a bank, surety insurer, or reinsurer.
* University graduate or equivalent education.
* Profound understanding of credit risk and financial markets including debt financing.
* A self-confident personality with effective communication skills for engaging with clients, business partners and senior colleagues.
* German native speaker with proficient English skills (written and spoken).
* Willingness to travel.
