Head of Procurement - Global FMCG distribution

About the position and what we offer
This position offers you a unique opportunity to work with strategy and business development on a global scale. You will be overall responsible for our procurement activities globally, among others be responsible for broadening our supplier portfolio and developing our relationships with existing and new suppliers so we continuously extend our market presence. You will thereby become a part of shaping the future of our business, where we have ambitious goals to make a significant impact in the dynamic global FMCG landscape.
Your key responsibilities are:
1. Lead the procurement department on a daily basis (8 employees in a direct line and dotted line to employees responsible for purchase in Singapore and Poland).
2. Identify and acquire new suppliers.
3. Have a holistic understanding of our supplier network to formulate and execute strategic business plans to achieve our revenue and profit growth targets.
4. Foster strong relationships with existing key suppliers and close cooperation with our sister company Fleggaard Retail.
5. Together with the management team, develop the future strategy, set the direction, and shape the team.
6. Continuously develop a comprehensive understanding of the FMCG market, including key players, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
You will report directly to our CEO and be an important part of the management team. Our management team leads the company by working unitedly and dealing with challenges together. We work as a team, always for the benefit of our company, our colleagues, our customers, and our business partners.
Your profile
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role and a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding targets. It is a must to have experience in FMCG and a deep knowledge of the industry’s dynamics. You are fluent in English and German, and preferably you also speak one or more other languages.
As a person, you possess strong analytical and strategic planning skills. You are outgoing, positive, and like to lead by example. You are an excellent communicator with solid interpersonal abilities. You are highly responsible, trustworthy, and able to operate autonomously while collaborating within a team.
Additionally, a willingness to travel is essential.
