Are you ready to save the planet? We will help prevent a climate crisis by freeing the world from fossil fuels. Our breakthrough direct air capture technology captures CO2 from the atmosphere and produces hydrogen in parallel. The clock is ticking. What are you waiting for? Our goals are ambitious. We need people who are inspired and motivated to turn these aspirations into reality; to grow and develop with us. As a working student in product and plant design at Greenlyte Carbon Technologies, you will help shape the visual and technical identity of Greenlyte’s First-of-a-Kind DAC-to-eMethanol plants. This role exists to bridge the gap between engineering precision and compelling, futuristic visual storytelling. We’re hiring now because we are entering a pivotal project phase that requires design support with a long-term view: the development of a consistent design language and adaptable visual assets for future scaling and communication. How you'll contribute Specifically you will… Develop 3D models and photorealistic renderings for DAC production plants & components Translate technical inputs and engineering constraints into visual representations Help shape a cohesive, recognizable design aesthetic for Greenlyte’s technology Collaborate closely with our founders, project management and engineers to ensure renderings are technically feasible Prototype future modular plant concepts and visualize system integration Develop visual assets for investor decks, pitches, marketing, and public communication Work in SolidWorks and possibly adapt to other rendering environments as needed (this is a plus) Aid in storytelling and educational content by visualizing processes and technologies Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables Months 0-3 Get up to speed with Greenlyte’s technology, goals, and visual direction Review and adapt existing renderings and plant models, if available Start creating early versions of the First-of-a-Kind plant design in SolidWorks/ other tools Collaborate with engineering to understand constraints and draft visual representations Contribute to concept development for DAC and eMethanol plant integration Months 3-6 Finalize 3–5 high-quality renderings that communicate the vision of a First-of-a-Kind plant Present visual concepts for feedback and iterate on technical inputs Begin defining a consistent design language and visual guideline document Deliver assets used in public communications and pitch materials Months 6-12 Build a visual template and handbook Explore modular design concepts for future plant scalability Create alternative design variants for different geographies or industrial use cases Co-develop UI wireframes for control systems if relevant About you You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Sustainable Design, or a related field You have strong skills in 3D modeling, preferably in SolidWorks, and are familiar with photorealistic rendering software (KeyShot, Blender, or similar) You bring a high level of design intuition with a passion for technology, climate innovation, and storytelling You have ideally worked on complex system designs (plants, machines, or infrastructure) in a university project or internship You have excellent communication skills (English required, German a plus) and are comfortable working cross-functionally You are self-motivated, curious, and excited to contribute to a growing startup with big impact potential What we offer 20 days vacation plus public holidays to ensure you also have the down time needed to rest and recharge.
