As an IT Manager for PLM Model Based Design your role involves coordinating and managing a global team of experts with cross expertise running projects for a global 3D CAD platform on NX integrated with Teamcenter. Along those projects the team also runs the NX service for our business on a global scale while understanding the technical and financial impact for the company. You provide mentorship to your team members, ensuring tasks and projects are running in time and budget with high sense for quality. How You’ll Make an Impact
13. You demonstrate disciplinary and professional leadership for a team of global PLM domain and technical PLM IT experts.
14. With your experience on using Model Based Design (MBD), you can coach the team and make sure that everyone understands the benefits and what it entails. This includes Executive Presentations and strategic roadmaps.
15. You know about the challenges of introducing MBD and you know that this is more than just about tools and functionality so that you can consult the business on this transformation journey.
16. You know how to work with PMIs including annotations such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), surface finish details, material specifications, and other non-geometric data in 3D models and you can discuss the challenges with your team.
17. You are responsible for the CAD NX service and strive for improving the status quo based on proven technical market trends while focusing on quality assurance and operational cost out.
18. You build and maintain strong partnerships. On the one hand to your customer in Business, understanding business needs, and offering tailored PLM solutions and on the other hand to our Software Providers (mainly Siemens DI SW) to understand strategy and roadmaps impacting Business.
What You Bring
19. University studies in computer science, business informatics, mechanical engineering, or comparable education required.
20. 10+ years of experience in an IT position with 3+ years of leadership experience leading multi-national teams, with a focus on PLM, including global hosting of engineering applications.
21. You are familiar with the latest 3D CAD / CAM / CAE technologies and product design related standard methodology processes and you are eager to learn new things, stay up to mark with new related trends.
22. You have worked with CAD tools (preferably NX) and 3D models in any of these areas (CAD/CAM/CAE)
23. Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change.
24. Willingness to travel as needed for global business collaborators.
25. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and networking skills, including cross-cultural abilities.
26. A demonstrated affinity for managing exciting projects head-on and delivery business value to the delight of your customers.
27. As you act in an international environment, you can communicate fluently in English.
