Job Description
We are looking for a PhD candidate to conduct research in ASIC and system-level HW/SW co-design for single-cell battery management. In this role, you will explore innovative implementation possibilities, particularly in battery health diagnostics and hardware-based system control in co-design with embedded software. Additionally, you will analyze system control functionalities that leverage the unique technical advantages of a modular multilevel battery topology with single-cell control. Your work will also include studying system architecture and performance aspects using simulation methods. A virtual prototype will be partially transferred to hardware, utilizing key semiconductor components at the test chip level.
Qualifications
* Education: excellent Master´s degree in electronic, electrical or information engineering, mathematics, or a physical sciences subject
* Experience and Knowledge: You have a strong commitment to your own professional development. You are a team player and enjoy working in an international environment. You have experience in electronics and electronics development as well as excellent mathematical skills and knowledge. You have very good knowledge of Matlab, Python, C++ or similar programming software. A solid background in power electronics and FPGA prototyping is a plus. In addition, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
* Personality and Working Practice: Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to think logically, create solutions and make informed decisions.
Willingness to work collaboratively in a research environment.
* Languages: very good English communication skills (written and verbal)
