About the Job
The role of the Head of Editorial, Event and Community Management is a crucial position.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader who shapes and executes the editorial, event, and community strategies for Allianz Technology. You will be responsible for driving engagement and building a strong sense of community within Allianz Technology, as well as positively influencing the perception of Allianz Technology through compelling events and content.
Please note that this role is offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years, starting as soon as possible.
What you do
Reporting to the Allianz Technology Global Head of Communications and Reputation, the Head of Event, Editorial and Community Management will play an important role in Allianz Technology’s transformation. The role incorporates:
* Editorial Strategy: Develop and oversee the editorial strategy for Allianz Technology, ensuring relevance, consistency and cohesion of campaigns and that content is prioritized and aligned with business objectives, brand voice, functional needs and industry best practices, making sure that the editorial strategy is underpinned via a publishing calendar.
* Content Creation: Lead the creation of high-quality and engaging content, including articles, posts, videos, podcasts and other materials that showcase Allianz Technology's expertise and initiatives. Develop and distribute content in planned and unplanned situations reaching all relevant stakeholders, internal and external.
* Event Management: Ideate, plan, organize, and execute engaging internal and client related events that promote Allianz Technology's strategy and foster networking and engagement.
* Community Building: Develop and implement strategies to build and nurture a strong sense of community, including employee engagement initiatives and actively managing online communities. Continuously develop communications channels and methods further.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that editorial, event, and community initiatives and speaker engagements are aligned with business objectives and effectively represent Allianz Technology's brand. Own and further develop customer communication to increase awareness and reputation of Allianz Technology towards Allianz’s entities.
* Issues Management: Support Global Head of Communications and Reputation with regards to preparation of comms materials and processes for potential crisis situations and mitigating critical comms situations.
* Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of editorial, event, and community initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
* Develop and ensure processes and guidelines to establish a structured comms approach that takes into account the requirements of all stakeholders.
* Stay updated on professional trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve stakeholder’s experiences.
What you bring
* University degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
* Proven multi-year experience in editorial management, event planning, and community building, preferably in a technology or corporate environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve strategic goals
* Excellent project management and organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools, content management systems, and event management
* Flexibility to travel internationally as needed
* Fluent in English, with German as additional language skill considered a plus
* Strong sense of the overall corporate strategy and proficiency in translating business needs into consistent communication objectives and tangible communications assets
* Highly analytical mindset, ability to quickly understand complex issues and translate them into clear and comprehensible messages
* Ability to work successfully across both functional and regional boundaries and to gain the support and involvement of key internal stakeholders at all levels in the organization
* Superb communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to proactively plan and implement the communication of topics, taking into account all stakeholder requirements in a structured manner
* Proven track record in communications with AI is a plus
* Collaborative leadership style with focus on guiding and empowering team members
