WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, polymer sciences related degree or equivalent experience. 5 years of relevant sales and/or marketing experience with demonstrated success in sales development. Strong business acumen in order to be able to identify opportunities, assemble creative sales programs and demonstrate competitive advantage. Ability to apply complex analytical and critical thinking skills. Technical skills associated with polymer resins, processing and performance characteristics is a plus, particularly in high temperature polymers, like fluoropolymers, polysulfones, PEEK … Well-developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influence skills. MS Office, experience with SAP and Salesforce.com an asset. Fully proficient in German and fluent in English, any other language will be a plus. For more information, visit www.avient.com/ To access Avient's news library online, please visit www.avient.com/news To reinforce our European Sales Team for the Colorant Chromatics Group, we are currently looking for an: ACCOUNT MANAGER, DACH region mainly Colorant Chromatics Group is the world´s leading specialist in the enhancement of high-performance polymers and is focused on providing high temperature polymer solutions including a full range of high-quality concentrates, precolored and specialty compounds, as well as additive formulations to a variety of processors. In alignment with megatrends, demand in high performance polymers such as Fluoropolymers (ETFE, FEP, PFA) and high temperature polymers (PEEK, Sulfones, PEI) is growing. The successful candidate will be creative and impactful within a team environment, ideally within these 2 polymers families. Reporting to the EMEAI Sales Manager, Colorant Chromatics Group, you will partner with and ensure the long-term success of our customers. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of sales revenue on a select list of accounts essentially within German speaking countries, but this could be extended to other countries. Expectations include the ability to sell at all levels of management and build relationships that ensure Avient will continue to get the first and last look. WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED Maintain and develop sales. Spearhead sales initiatives including the development of account plans for the top existing accounts and the development of new accounts (prospects). Conduct regular customer visits, make regular sales calls, and interface with customer representatives at industry events, suppliers' local organizations and partners, conferences and trade shows, etc. (up to 70% of travel required). Address customer inquiries, providing immediate answers and a superior level of responsiveness in all aspects. This includes the willingness and eagerness of the job holder to learn and master technical questions. Monitor and assess market trends (including competitors) and help the Sales Managers to project the company’s forward position based on trends and product position. Assess product-market fit of portfolio and contribute to the optimization and management of marketing mix of Colorant Chromatics offerings. Ensure day to day and tactical sales programs are implemented, including product pricing. Focus on further profitable growth\: personal commitment for sales and marketing projects and for development projects. Actively participate in trade shows, in their preparation and follow up. Manage the budgeting/forecasting of sales for customer accounts on an annual basis, including the monitoring of budget targets. Identify target deviations and recommend/initiate countermeasures. Maintain regular reports\: visit reports, SalesForce.com, monthly overviews, etc. Coordinate commercial interactions and support with Customer Service Representative (internal sales).
