Team Head (m/f/d) Fund Controlling PIMCO Prime Real Estate (PPRE) is hiring, at the earliest convenience, a Team Head Fund Controlling Europe (m/f/d), at our Munich office. Based in Munich and a part of the Investment Planning and Controlling team within Finance, PPRE’s Fund Controlling team provides financial management, financial control and financial reporting for all European PPRE products with Third Party investors. The current product offering encompasses regulated Real Estate Debt Funds and non-regulated Real Estate Equity ventures, with the strategy to expand the offering of regulated fund products in Debt and Equity. In close collaboration with the Fund Management team, the team ensures the interface to clients and coordinates with PPRE teams and external providers to ensure the management of investment vehicles as well as the quality of financial investor reporting. Key Responsibilities Fund Controlling Financial counterpart for client interaction (supporting role to Fund Management team as primary client-facing function) Ensure financial management of all structure levels from SPVs to fund-level, to optimize liquidity management and investor returns Ensure high quality of financial reporting provided to investors, perform 4-eye-principle controls and team-head reviews Ensure adequate financial modeling, projections and forecasts to support decision-making Steer external partners and providers for accounting, fund and SPV administration services to ensure a smooth operation of new and existing products Provide added-value as proactive business partner to investors and PPRE teams, ensure successful positioning of the Fund Controlling team Business development Lead projects to set-up the Target Operating Model for new 3P products, in particular regulated fund products Onboarding of new products and 3P investors Manage interfaces and collaboration with PIMCO and PPRE teams as well as external providers Improve, clarify and standardize existing processes Contribute to product development and structuring process Team leadership Assume newly established team head role of existing Fund Controlling team (headcount: 2) Collaborative leadership, focus on empowering and developing skills of team members Manage change to support the targeted growth of PPRE’s 3P business, by adapting to new products, requirements and ways of working Key Requirements/Skills/Experience 8 years or more of relevant professional experience, i.e. with a focus on Finance in fund management, fund administration or investment management companies Prior experience in alternative investments, ideally real estate First practical experiences in project or team leadership roles Successfully completed university degree (ideally specialized in finance, accounting, controlling, etc.) Solid knowledge on accounting principles, IFRS, US-GAAP, HGB Understanding of company law and taxation Experience with data management and reporting interfaces, PowerBI Collaborative leadership style and strong communication skills, Proactive, solutions-oriented and positive mind-set, open for change and initiative to pursue continuous improvement Spoken and written German and English skills at negotiation level are a prerequisite, knowledge in additional European language is a plus Benefits: Onboarding: A mentor, a buddy program and a global welcome event will help you getting started.
