Your Job
• Implement and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of relevant governmental regulatory bodies in Europe (e.g., BaFin, IVASS, etc.)
• Ensure the adequate implementation, adherence and execution of GL Third Party Risk Management processes within the claims area of responsibility.
• Coordinate Due diligence and audits in collaboration with Agency Claims team and other GL units, according to GL standards, while identifying any potential compliance risks. • Prepare Outsourcing Plans and Risk Assessment reports and follow up on the findings closure.
• Negotiate, maintain, and monitor Service Level Agreements with internal and external outsourcing counterparts for claims services regarding claims service units’ compliance and performance.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry specific compliance requirements,
• Develop and enhance Claims IT tools to support MGA/TPAs and agency claims management in collaboration with Agency Claims team.
• Negotiate TPA Agreements and give claims input to Binding Authority Agreements while keeping them up to date as required.
• Develop work instructions and Agency claims management guidelines to ensure state of the art claims management and O&C in compliance with Claims Corporate Guidelines
• Build an intelligent monitoring systems to mitigate conduct and reputational risk, and to ensure appropriate financial outcomes, for both Agency as well as single risks business.
• Participating in special projects and ad hoc reporting, as required
Your Profile
• Claims compliance expertise in primary insurance preferably within the EU context as well as across several lines of business (Non-Life and Health)
• Legal education or other appropriate university degree or qualifications such as the ACII
• EU (in particular Germany, Italy and France) Market experience as well as knowledge of legal and regulatory systems. US market and Australian market knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, attention to details and time management skills
• Effective communication and collaboration capabilities
• Good internal and external network with lawyers and other service providers
• Business-fluent English; additional European languages in particular German and French are an advantage
