Medical Affairs is a critical bridge between R&D and the commercial organization to ensure that our medicines reach the appropriate patients. The MSL is a critical role to ensure that oncology resources and activities are aligned and deployed to business priorities and patient needs. The function is crucial to build up scientific expertise to provide greater insight and significant external presence.
Region: North Nordrhein-Westfalen and main parts of Niedersachsen
Key Responsibilities
1. Creating and forming programs out of the medical strategy within their designated scope, schedule, and resources
2. Management of all medical affairs activities in territory
3. Development, implementation, and project lead of medical scientific projects
4. Acting as a partner of choice and consultant for all external KOL´s and HCP´s
5. Identification and support of relevant study centres and cooperation partners and intensification of scientific dialogues (discussion of latest publications, data and therapies; scientific presentation and moderation of advisory boards / symposiums, etc.)
6. Support clinical research programming across the continuum (Investigator sponsored research, Cooperative Group and Collaborator research, Company Sponsored trials)
7. Partner within all areas of GMA (e.g. Medical Directors, Medical Communications, Medical Information, Publications, Patient Advocacy) and support as content expert for Clinical Research, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Advocacy, Communications
Qualifications & Skills
8. Accredited doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (Pharm.D., D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., or M.D./D.O.)
9. Experience and success in MSL organizations with clear evidence of Oncology experience, preferably within last few years
10. Demonstrated understanding of the European healthcare environment, including knowledge of health technology assessments and market access challenges
11. Understanding of Pharmaceutical ethics and governance, of pharmaceutical compliance policies and procedures
12. Expert public speaking and written communication skills
13. Fluency in English and German
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
14. Demonstrable experience and success in MSL organizations in therapeutic oncology
15. Experience in Hematology
16. Prior experience with product launches
