WePlanet (formerly known as Replanet) is about to embark on an incredible project that will revolutionise our organisation and help us build a truly global community of progressive ecomodernists dedicated to driving change on climate, environment, and development issues. Using science and data-driven strategies, we aim to inspire action and address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Our forward-thinking campaigns have been highlighted in major publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, The Times, BBC and Reuters. With our mission gaining momentum, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team, grow your skills, and make a real-world impact. This role focuses on digital mobilisation in Germany, growing and engaging our supporter base through compelling content and vibrant online communities. This fully remote role allows you to work flexibly from anywhere in Germany. You’ll develop digital campaigns, foster connections, and collaborate with partners to advance impactful initiatives that support WePlanet’s mission. You’ll thrive in this role if you are a proactive, pragmatic thinker who excels at connecting with people. You bring experience in creating digital content and using data-driven insights to refine strategies and achieve results. A strong understanding of Germany’s political and social context, combined with a willingness to learn and adapt, and a talent for spotting opportunities to engage audiences or advance campaigns, will make you an invaluable member of our team. Applications will remain open until the position is filled, but priority will be given to candidates who apply promptly and are available to start at the earliest opportunity. Requirements What you’ll do as part of our team: Identify, research, test and develop campaigns, working with the Digital Mobilisation Director and Campaigns Leadership Team, primarily in Germany but also globally, to grow our online community, increase supporter fundraising, and advance the organization’s mission. Write, edit, and/or translate compelling campaign and fundraising copy to inspire people to take action on our key issues, build momentum in Germany, and drive engagement, collaborating with the Online Fundraising Manager and Digital Mobilisation Director. Create and run social media advertising to grow our mailing list in Germany, and beyond. Work alongside other national campaigners and our campaign directors on our long-term ‘impact’ campaigns on energy, food, land and development. Help us understand the political dynamics in Germany by keeping connected to local movements, alternative thinking, and researching policy processes within your national context. Work with partners to identify opportunities, build relationships, and contribute to WePlanet’s mission. Track and evaluate campaign engagement, measure their impact on driving actions, and monitor the growth of our supporter base. Travel nationally and occasionally internationally for team meetings, retreats, stakeholder and partner meetings, and petition deliveries.
