Hauptaufgaben
Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over the Grafenwoehr and the Vilseck Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) in the Logistics Readiness Center Bavaria (LRC-B), Transportation Division. These two branches consist of 25 employees and 467 assigned and hand-receipted non-tactical vehicles (NTVs) of all descriptions, and provides support to a large sized Installation, a USAREUR Major Training Areas (MTA), and operational/training/rotational/tenant units.
Plans, directs and manages the technical, administrative and operational work and subordinate personnel in the organizations supervised. Plans work schedules on a periodic basis and in response to special requirements. Develops performance standards, reviews performance of subordinates, counsels employees when required, and when necessary prepares formal performance evaluations. Initiates recruit fill actions to fill vacant positions, interviews applicants, and recommends selection to the supervisor. Initiates requests for performance awards or disciplinary actions, as required. Ensures employees are properly trained and provides or arranges for training for those needing it. Holds periodic meetings to eliminate deficiencies and intensify efforts for the economical use of labor, equipment and vehicles, ensure proper dispatch, adhere to accident prevention and safety measures, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting of data. Hears and resolves most grievances, and refers more complex problems to the supervisor. Supports Army goals in EEO, position management, and internal controls designed to control fraud, waste and abuse.
Performs a variety of programs/systems control evaluation, advisory, operational and administrative functions. Recommends and develops command procedures and guides. Performs miscellaneous duties involving TMP operations. Receives routine and special requests for vehicles both with and without drivers, coordinates availability of transportation services with users and the Transportation Operations Supervisor, and re-schedules, if necessary, to meet high priority requests. Responds to inquiries concerning all aspects of transportation in regards to TMP operations and support. Represents the Transportation Operations Supervisor in meetings concerned with various aspects of the TMP such as changes in scheduled services, acquisition/disposal of vehicles and equipment, coordination of training support services, etc. Reviews dispatch records, logbooks, etc. to ensure these are prepared properly and that scheduled maintenance on vehicles has been performed. Reviews and approves, and occasionally prepares, maintenance request forms, and ensures that returned vehicles have been serviced as needed and requested. Researches cost data and prepares cost and accounting documents involving vehicle charges in excess 0f $4 Million annually. Develops information on which to base a Report of Survey and make recommendations as to liability for loss or damage to government property. Initiates Reports of Survey and as required, bills responsible parties for shortages, or damages reported. Manages the NTV program to include requisitioning POL and other top-off products on a periodic basis, monitoring usage, and requesting additional supplies to meet unplanned for activities. Maintains the hand receipt file of vehicles and equipment charged to the TMP, and initiates actions to acquire, turn in or dispose of such property. Provides input to the annual budget process and the semiannual TDA updates to request changes in authorizations for manpower and equipment to meet changes in operational requirements. Ensures that drivers maintain license certification for the types of vehicles they are required to operate.
Assists the Garrison Commander in execution of the installation safety program. Monitors road conditions throughout the installation and brings potentially hazardous conditions to the Director, LRC Bavaria. Ensures all vehicles and equipment are in safe operating condition. Maintains liaison with local German authorities to obtain or render required information in case of accidents. Prepares or directs the preparation of prescribed accident report forms, and takes steps to eliminate future accidents of like kind. Advises proper authorities of road conditions in cases of inclement weather.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-06:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level V: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
C-6A:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 4 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 4 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 3 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level V: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• GCSS Army, Vantage, ERMS and FAST knowledge desired.
• Office automation skills are required.
