As part of the Global Engineering Team, the Senior Project Engineering Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for planning, leading and managing the engineering, EHS, construction, commissioning and qualification of projects part of our Technical Operations Strategic portfolio Projects in close collaboration with other involved departments and stakeholders in a matrix organization. We are looking for a true leader with a strong technical experience and expertise in the pharma industry, youwill be the representative of Ferring Global Engineering for the day to day management of the projects, coordination with local Engineering Contractors, Control of the Budget & Schedule, Monitor the Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification Activities. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the Global Engineering processes and tools.

1. Lead projects from Engineering and Design through to Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification phases in collaboration with Local & Global Engineering, Contractors, and Ferring departments until Operational Qualification is achieved, including conducting after-action reviews.
2. When relevant, build up the local Engineering and Maintenance Organization for the new facility by hiring engineers / technicians for the various disciplines: Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Control Systems etc.
3. Provide Engineering Expertise and be the interface between Ferring Global Engineering, Program Lead, local Engineering / Maintenance, Contractors, and other Ferring departments according to the project organization set-up.
4. EHS responsible for the duration of the project, provide technical support for the installation checks during the construction of the facility, provide support for the commissioning and star-up of the facility, provide qualification support for the new assets.
5. Manage all contacts with local authorities for permitting, environmental, waste disposal, construction zone and facility cleaning etc.
6. Oversee on-site execution activities in close collaboration with the site project team, site management, Global Project Management Office (PMO), and applying LEAN principles and construction tools.
7. Coordinate activities with the Engineering & Maintenance Department of the existing sites or neighboring Production site.
8. When needed (i.e., green field), support future maintenance activities, including calibration, and assist in the procurement and management of critical spare parts.
9. Prepare for the implementation of the Maintenance Management System in alignment with Ferring standards.
10. Coordinate the training of Engineering & Maintenance Personnel for the new Facility.
11. Ensure effective coordination among all relevant Ferring departments, including R&D, LQA & GQA, Legal, procurement, Production, LSC & GSC, as required.

12. Education:A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or Business Administration) is required, along with some formal project management training.
13. Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry: Proficient in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, drug development, and regulatory compliance, particularly Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and diverse pharmaceutical dosage forms, with a focus on sterile products.
14. Experience:Approximately 10 years of project management experience, preferably within pharmaceuticals or life sciences, particularly in API manufacturing. Experience in managing complex projects, budgets, timelines, and strong knowledge of quality assurance, cGMP, DS, DP manufacturing, GMPs, and FDA regulations.
15. Project Management Expertise:Strong project management skills encompassing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change control. Able to handle multiple projects concurrently. Proficient in various engineering disciplines within the pharmaceutical environment, including utilities, equipment, automation, instrumentation, and civil engineering. Familiar with Lean methodologies and Value Engineering. Proficient in software such as MS-Word, Excel, Autocad, Product Design Specification (PDS), and project management tools (e.g., MS Project), with PPM experience being a plus.
16. Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead project teams, motivate team members, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts to ensure a cohesive and productive working environment.
17. Communication and Presentation Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across all levels, clear project goal communication, and delivering concise presentations to various audiences. Proficient in English and other languages, capable of representing the business to external stakeholders.
