Job Description
In our group the focus lies on design of various ASIC chips that are used in automotive applications. As designs have become increasingly complex, the chip architectures often need to be broken down into smaller modules and functionalities, making it much simpler to oversee changes. However, this creates the need to ensure that the design is implemented correctly, and modules are properly communicating with each other as intended.
1. During your internship, you will assist the integrator in this task and hence, you will play a key role in supporting the design development.
2. You will learn how the architecture of an ASIC really looks like, and you will understand the hierarchy top-to-bottom.
3. Furthermore, you will also familiarize yourself with the design flow, provide support and even suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications
4. Education: Master studies in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or comparable
5. Experience and Knowledge: in Hardware-description-languages (preferably VHDL) and digital hardware design; basics in Linux commands
6. Personality and Working Practice: you excel at generating new ideas, asking questions, and actively collaborating with the team to efficiently achieve shared goals
7. Languages: very good in written and spoken English
Additional Information
Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 - 12 months (if the total duration of the internship exceeds 6 months, confirmation as mandatory internship is required for the entire period according to the study regulations)
