As Senior Scientist Predictive Formulation you will join our R&D team in Process Solutions within Life Science to accelerate our activities in Predictive Formulation Development. Predictive Formulation is a concept which aims to support drug development for our customers by using data driven AI /ML techniques with an ambition to bring drugs faster to the market.With an initial focus on solid dosage forms for small and large molecules, you will be driving the identification, evaluation and testing of new and innovative predictive formulation and process development software and tools. In this role, in-depth research in external literature and patent databases, in combination with an already well-established scientific network, will be essential to aid in the identification of new and innovative opportunities in this space. Further responsibilities include proof of concept assessment of process and formulation simulation tools, including practical testing on manufacturing units internally or externally available. Furthermore, alongside utilization of data science approaches in your own individual projects, you will generally support the implementation of design of experiments (DoE) etc. within the wider team. In addition to your contribution to our R&D activities, your key interfaces will also include marketing and business development functions, as a pivotal member of a team developing new business opportunities for Life Science. Who you are:Ph. D. in Science (e.g. Pharmaceutical Science or Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Chemistry or other related disciplines)Recognized as an expert in software and simulation approaches.Ideally at least 2 years of industrial experience in a Healthcare or Life Science environment.Programming knowledge advantageous (e.g. Python, R or Matlab)You are well organized with strong decision making skills and willing to travel up to 10%.You are open to working cross functionally and collaborate with other departmentsYour personal strength includes communication and presentation skills in German and English.
