About the offer:The Director of Technical Procurement Project Management leads a global team in an agile way and together they coordinate across the CE vertical leaders, category teams and directly with the value streams to ensure in-scope, on-budget and on-time delivery of new projects requiring procurement input and support. The project scope typically falls under 1 of the 3 following areas: 1. Moves. Change in supplier base or supplier conditions driven by the need to:move production internally from one location to another Outsource: move inhouse production to external supplier Insource: move production from an external supplier to one or more FMC plants Transfer: move in production from one external supplier to another supplier location 2. Adds: Typically related to new product introductions this can fall under two areas:Early involvement in the new product design for in house manufacture and supporting the materials and /or supply base to be utilized in the new product (working very closely with the category teams)Early involvement in make vs buys decisions and the buying of ‘finished third party goods’ to complement our own portfolio3. Changes: often referred to as sustaining engineering. For launched products support the value streams, regulatory and MSC as they improve the design/functionality with changes and or manage part availability by qualifying alternative sources and / or materialsTASKS:Defines with input from impacted parties and maintains the approach (process, sops,technology platforms) for the consistent application of how TPPM is executed across the globe. Ensures all necessary parties are informed and where needed trained in the approachEstablishes and maintains a database repository to store/share TPPM materials and project documentationManages in a flexible and agile way a team of up 10 (senior) technical project procurement managers allocated to a blend of products and value streamsIn collaboration with Category establishes a clear and simple business partnering program with the value streams and /or MT&IDesigns and implement a structured project in take process and through this process ensures the optimal utilization of the resources both in regard to capacities and capabilities to deliver agreed projects to agree goalsCollaborates with the PMO function to set, agree scope priorities with the business and track continuously project progressCollaborates with the category management and supplier/cost engineering teams to scope the supply base impact for consideration in each initiative and agree source to contract approachesCollaborates with the regional sourcing hubs who drives all required RFXs for the projects following strategy and supplier portfolio defined by Category Management,Collaborates with category management and the value streams on contacting 3rd parties at ‘start up’ for ‘scale up; to ensure certainty of commercial protection as volumes changeensures the team is suitably staffed, skilled and motivated and manages a forward project plan as part of the budget cycle to resource accordingly to business needsis responsible for the adherence of the team to all compliance and other company policiesREQUIREMENTS:Minimum 8 years in managerial positions within Procurement or Technical Project Management rolesGlobally experienced and ideally has lived and worked in more than one continentHave a (or be able to quickly) grasp the technical and manufacturing nuances of the FMC Product range and related manufacturing techniques, capacities etc. and those that are similar on the open marketHave strong commercial and financial acumen, able to write, interpret and challenge any business plans/cases and engage competently in business case creation and reviewBe a team player as well as leader, knowing when to lean in to coach and also when needing to step in and deliver by showing how tasks are downBe agile in their personal ways of working, leading by example and acting as a role model in both technical competence and leadership skillsNuanced/articulate in managing up with either information flows, considered requests for assistance and/or progress reporting Proven leadership (not just management) experience: Independently can create a compelling vision and can inspire a team / organization to deliver against thisCompelling engagement, communication and presentation skills.
