Hauptaufgaben Interpret data to determine facts surrounding improper actions committed by service members. Perform a complete review of records and other case documentation of fraudulent enlistment or assignments. Review documentation of actions leading to the removal of military members from active or inactive status; and ensure that documentation is correct and sufficient and that all levels of legal, medical, and administrative review are complete. Review records and document s to develop facts and issues; research and provide explanations regarding rules, procedures, and requirements to military employees; outline options for the case and recommend appropriate action; and answer questions and prepare reports pertaining to the case. Make initial recommendations on eligibility for promotion; and identify discrepancies in selectee records. Screen district officer lists and develop lists of all enlisted personnel and commissioned officers eligible for promotion based on date of rank and schedule of pending promotion boards. Reconcile headquarters promotion eligible lists; and coordinate with headquarters and selectees to resolve outstanding issues. Determine the appropriate primary and secondary military occupational specialty codes. Passes on to other workers instructions received from supervisor, demonstrates proper work methods, and starts work. Insures that needed materials, equipment, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from location. Works along with other employees and sets the pace. Checks work in progress in posting of forms, reviews actions/function and records for accuracy, quality and quantity of completed work for compliance with regulations, SOP'S, and supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines. Answers workers questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders, regulations, SOP's). Provides information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems (e.g., additional on-the-job training requirements and performance of individual employees). Sets the pace, makes work adjustments, rejects work not meeting established standards, refers to supervisor questions on matters not covered standards and problems in meeting performance standards, work/production and tasks. Maintains a current knowledge and answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, directives, etc., and obtains needed information or decision from supervisor on problems that come up. Position reports to supervisor on performance, progress, and disciplinary problems. Resolves informal complaints of employees and serviced customers and refers others to the supervisor. Recommends performance of standards and provides informal appraisals. Reviews job descriptions for currency and accuracy and recommends changes. Recommends employee details to other jobs and identifies employee's training needs, and initiates recommendations to provide necessary training. Schedules and approves subordinate's leave for short periods. Maintains employee status reports and time and attendance worksheets and timecards. Make initial determinations on solders eligibility for retirement and completion of active-duty service commitments. Identifies and review periods of active and inactive service, time lost, etc., by type of service (i.e., Enlisted, Warrant Officer, Commissioned Officer) and category (i.e., regular, Reserve, National Guard, etc.). Initiates actions requesting clarification relating to creditability of certain types of service. Inputs all computer transactions relating to military personnel records as needed. Processes personnel actions for arriving and departing military personnel. Reviews records for eligibility for promotions; and eligibility for decorations and awards. Uses discretion in selection of the proper action's procedural guides. Employee uses a personal computer to prepare in draft or final form a variety of documents. Is responsible for correct format, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and procedural requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below. E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below. E&T Level III: 1 year of experience as defined in B below. E&T Level IV: No additional experience required. Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade. Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc. Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
