We are looking for an (Associate) Director R&D Transformation Projects & Operations to contribute to the transformation of our R&D functions and ensure the successful execution of key R&D transformation projects through both project-based initiatives and agile, action-oriented measures that quickly achieve an impact. Work hand-in-hand with the Directors R&D Transformation Projects & Operations to contribute to the development and implementation of R&D transformation projects, including identifying opportunities to optimize processes and improve functional efficiencies
Act as a strategic project manager and drive innovation through both project-based initiatives and agile, action-oriented measures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key projects and initiatives that align with the R&D transformation strategy
Support the identification and conceptualization of initiatives for integrating research/translational/clinical activities, monitor the execution and implementation of initiatives, leveraging an excellent cross-organizational network
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including board members, senior R&D functional leads, and research project and development program teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication
Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including managing opportunities, risks and issues that may impact project outcomes
Act as change lead for continuous improvement and drive transformational initiatives
Advanced degree in a scientific or technical field, with a MD or PHD in natural sciences, or a related field preferred
Demonstrated track record of extensive professional experience in project management or strategy consulting (Tier 1), with a focus on leading complex, cross-functional research or drug development projects in the biopharmaceutical industry
Strong interpersonal skills, motivate with enthusiasm and develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders
Experience with agile methodologies and a proven ability to execute on action-oriented measures that quickly achieve impact
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to travel up to 20% internationally is required
