Senior Product Manager - Software/Robotics

At Stax we're partnering with an innovative scale up (Series A) at the forefront of Robotics, a company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible. They're seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Senior Product Manager to join their dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and optimising our clients software products. You will collaborate closely with the development team, hardware team, sales team, and customers to create innovative software solutions that integrate seamlessly with our robotic systems and meet market demands. You will also play a key role in shaping and scaling their software product management, ideally leveraging prior experience in a startup environment where you have successfully built and launched software products.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a software strategy aligned with the overall product strategy.
2. Guide and oversee the software development roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
3. Work closely with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of software into modular systems.
4. Collaborate with the sales team and engage with customers to gather requirements and feedback.
5. Coordinate software development for implementing control logics and user interfaces.
6. Create and maintain roadmaps for software products and features.
7. Ensure the usability, performance, and quality of the software.
8. Plan and conduct software testing to ensure quality assurance.
9. Analyze market and customer requirements to drive software advancements.
10. Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
11. Actively contribute to the scaling of the product management function within a fast-growing environment.
Your Profile:
1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Several years of experience in product management, specifically in software products, ideally in a start-up environment.
3. Strong knowledge of software architecture, API design, and interface integration.
4. Proven experience in successfully launching and scaling software products.
5. Experience with agile development methods and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
6. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
8. Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to robotics software development (e.g., Python, ROS).
9. Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
