The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial organization by ensuring accurate and timely calculation, processing, and reporting of sales commissions. The person will provide crucial support in choosing, implementing and building a new commission calculation tool. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to manage commission plans, analyze sales data, and provide insights to drive business performance. The Commission Analyst will work closely with Sales, Finance, and HR teams to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies and objectives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Commission Calculation and Processing: - Calculate and process sales commissions accurately and on time for the commercial team. - Ensure commission calculations comply with the company's commission plans and policies. - Prepare and distribute commission statements to payroll team to process payments - Implementation of Commission Calculation tool - Support Commercial Finance Manager in the selection of a commission tool for Abiomed Europe by reviewing internal (Abiomed & JnJ) and external solutions - Implement the system by ensuring connection to other systems like Salesforce / Tableau, SAP & Workday - Be the system owner - Data Management and Analysis: - Collect, validate, and analyze final monthly/quarterly sales and patient's data from sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in commission calculations. - Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on commission payouts, sales performance, and other relevant metrics. - Identify and implement process improvements and digital solutions to streamline commission reporting and add value. - Collaboration and Support: - Work closely with the commercial, finance, payroll and HR teams to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies. - Support the commercial team by providing insights and recommendations based on commission data analysis. - Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve commission processes and systems. - Compliance and Documentation: - Ensure commission calculations and processes comply with all relevant regulations and company policies. - Maintain accurate and organized records of commission calculations, payments, and related documentation. - Assist in internal and external audits related to commission processes and data. - Participate in key Enterprise, MedTech, and Abiomed Finance initiatives, such as Organizational Health Actions, SigniFi, and process improvements. - Act as a backup for the Senior Financial Analyst in Sales & Marketing OPEX reporting and reconciliation to ensure operational continuity. Support in Commercial OPEX analysis. - Proactively manage personal development and maintain a positive work-life balance while building effective stakeholder relationships. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting - 3 years of accounting, finance or related business experience is required. - CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred. - Proven ability to work independently and appropriately plan, prioritize, and communicate progress on multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency to network, collaborate and generate consensus effectively in a complex environment, possessing strong social skills, promoting inclusion, and building trusting relationships with business partners across all cultures and levels of the organization. - Demonstrate a global and enterprise-wide mindset. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively. - This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, and intellectual curiosity. - The preferred location for this role is Aachen, Germany.
