EIFER seeks a Research Fellow (m/f/d) for Hydrogen Engineering & Innovation.
The position is based in Karlsruhe with a duration of initially 2 years starting from 01 June 2025.
Salary per TV-L (100%).
Founded by EDF and KIT in 2002, EIFER provides innovative energy solutions for a sustainable future.
Responsibilities
* Innovative Laboratory Work: Engage in cutting-edge experimental work at both cell and stack levels, focusing on electrochemical performance and degradation evaluation.
* Advanced Analysis: Utilize a variety of characterization methods, including in situ impedance spectroscopy, microscopy observations, X-ray diffraction, and other innovative techniques to analyze cell/stack degradation.
* Material Synthesis: Synthesize material components and manufacture electrochemical cells using advanced wet chemical routes.
* Project Development: Lead and manage project proposals for industrial stakeholders and public funded calls, driving innovation and collaboration.
* Knowledge Sharing: Present your findings and activities through impactful publications and conference contributions.
Requirements
* Master’s degree or PhD in Material Science, Energy, or Electrochemistry.
* Experience with hydrogen systems, especially solid oxide cells.
* Proficiency in material characterization techniques.
* Skills in developing and implementing testing equipment.
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Fluent in English and German.
