This role focuses mainly on our sustainable finance work at Guidehouse, but you may also have the opportunity to work with large corporate and public sector projects. In our sustainable finance work, we apply and advise on leading frameworks such as Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), Science-Based and Net-Zero Targets, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and Taskforce on Climate- and Nature-related Financial Disclosures, and we create innovative and impactful solutions with our clients What You Will Do: As a member of our Sustainable Finance team, you will consult various clients from the financial industry on their climate and sustainability journeys. You will work on diverse assignments that may vary from measuring climate impacts of financial institutions or products, developing climate strategies for financial institutions, understanding and reducing climate-related risks, taking climate action and capturing opportunities from the energy transition, and financing industrial de-carbonization. In this role, you will learn, be challenged, and develop skills at a fast pace. In addition, you will also become a member of the Secretariat of the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF). Guidehouse serves as the Secretariat of PCAF, leading, managing, and running PCAF’s operations. You will support our work across PCAF’s global regions and provide technical support to PCAF stakeholders in developing and implementing the Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standards for the Financial Industry. Finally, you may also work for our clients outside the financial sector, including large corporations and public agencies. What You Will Need: University degree with a focus on (sustainable or climate) finance, banking, business administration, (energy and climate) economics, (energy and climate) business management, sustainable energy, applied mathematics, physics, or equivalent experience. Preferred first knowledge of (sustainable) finance (banking, asset management, insurance, etc.). Working experience in sustainable and climate finance and/or banking, investing, and insurance sectors. Familiar with the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials and understanding of its Standards. Familiar with financial analysis and analytical research. Fluent in English and at least one additional language (native Mandarin, Spanish, French, Dutch, German or Italian). Proven strong communication, writing, and presentation skills. Passion for sustainability, innovation, and personal development. A team player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and creativity in problem-solving. Able to show a working knowledge of data collection, organisational and analytical skills. Able to work on multiple projects and show a good understanding of the project objectives and client expectations. Comfortable communicating and receiving feedback and willing to be coached in presenting to colleagues and potentially clients Experienced with PowerPoint and Excel. Willingness to travel internationally where required.
