Business Development Director (Real Estate and Facilities for Life Science)

Scope of the role:
Taking responsibility for formulating and implementing the BD strategy depending on specific directions and objectives for the Life Science business.
Role responsibilities:
* Focusing on Life Science opportunities within Real Estate and Facilities Management, you will win, maintain and develop fruitful relationships with prospect and existing clients.
* Develop a strong and broad understanding of all real estate and facilities solutions on offer by the business, client value proposition and understand the various service lines to ensure best solution is provided.
* Identify opportunities, create and develop a client pipeline and craft compelling proposals which address client needs.
* Present, attend onsite client meetings, underwrite agreements and onboard new clients effectively.
* Manage and achieve designated financial, operational and milestone measures as defined in the deliverables and KPI’s established per client (whether that is a one-off project or an ongoing relationship).
* Collaboration with senior sales and leadership to craft informative content for the retention and acquisition of clients, acting as an expert advisor rather than transactional conduit.
* Supporting more junior members of the sales team; plan and organise staffing levels as required, assist with recruitment into the team.
Your background:
* Commercial Real Estate or outsourcing sales background is preferential.
* Knowledge and interest in the European Life Science real estate market is important.
* Demonstrable work in the areas of finance, consulting or analytics will be highly beneficial.
* Exemplary negotiation, listening and analytical skills. Able to manage clients through the full lifecycle from prospective, to onboarded Partner.
* Advanced financial planning skills, commercially focused and able to budget and align sales goals well to common business goals.
* Sound IT and database management skills.
