Evonik is a major producer of C4 chemicals with more than 50 years of experience. The C4 Chemicals business unit was spun off in 2023 as Evonik Oxeno GmbH & Co. KG in 2023 and is currently preparing to become independent.
We produce precursors for plastics, coatings, lubricants and speciality chemicals at our plants in Marl and Antwerp, among other things, and attach great importance to resource-saving production and the use of new technologies.

Responsibilities
·You will independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including notes and management reports in accordance with IFRS and HGB
·You monitor the provisioning and posting of provisions based on expert opinions (including personnel provisions, pensions)
·You are responsible for the continuous reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
·You will prepare the balance sheet in accordance with IFRS 16 (leasing/rental), carry out analyses and prepare reports for the company and management
·You are the cross-departmental contact person for internal and external departments, e.g. Controlling, auditors, etc.
·You advise operational departments and controlling in the area of accounting
·You review legal requirements and ensure that they are complied with
·You will support ongoing audits by the tax authorities and help develop special projects
Requirements
·Completed academic university degree (diploma/master's degree) in the fields of communication or media sciences, marketing, journalism or a comparable university degree
·Several years (> 5 years) of professional experience in a leading position in a communications department of a company, preferably in the chemical industry or an agency
·Diplomatic skills in dealing with various stakeholders
·Enjoy developing new ideas and trying out new approaches paired with a hands-on mentality
·Strengths in the implementation of concepts
·Very good communication skills and very good written and oral expression skills in German and English
·Holistic thinking in terms of storytelling as well as an independent, structured and goal-orientated way of working
