The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT operations for the PACE Group of Companies, ensuring a secure, reliable, and scalable network and systems infrastructure. This role involves managing the IT team, coordinating with other departments, and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives. The IT Manager acts as the point of contact for the TXT-Group IT Organization including the alignment of the Groups Policies and Infrastructure. The IT Manager ensures smooth IT operations, provides technical support, and plays a key role in technology planning and procurement.
Responsibilties and Job Description
Providing to the PACE Business Units a reliable, secure and scalable IT infrastructure in coordination with the policies and guidelines of the of the TXT Group IT Organization.
Managing the day-to-day IT operations, providing leadership to the team of 2 IT professionals within the department. Fostering a collaborative environment, providing guidance and mentorship to the IT team.
Overseeing and maintaining IT infrastructure - via Intune, Ansible, VMWare, Cisco Meraki, Sonicwall or other state-of-the-art techniques
Implementing cybersecurity protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting certification requirements like ISO 9100 and ISO 27001.
Negotiating and managing contracts, service level agreements, and key performance indicators with IT suppliers. Monitoring and evaluating their performance and resolving any issues or disputes. Overseeing software licensing, updates, and renewals to ensure legal compliance.
Maintaining documentation of systems, processes, and generate regular performance reports for senior management.
Planing and implementing IT projects, respecting the business objectives and priorities. Defining and managing the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of IT projects.
Supporting the annual IT budget planning for operational costs and capital investments
Ensuring that IT support services are available to all employees, addressing hardware, software, and network problems.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, with 5+ years of IT experience, including experience in management.
Strong technical skills in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise software systems, familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
Strong knowledge of IT sourcing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Excellent project management skills and experience in leading and delivering complex IT projects.
Languages: Fluent English and German
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on preventing and resolving IT issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
