About the role The strategic goal of BayWa r.e. is the creation of a focused and integrated project developer in the renewable energy sector. The aim is to realize projects exceeding 2 GW per year and to expand the company’s own IPP portfolio to a total capacity of over 1 GW after its optimization starting in 2026. For our IPP portfolio, we are looking for a Controller to join our team— either full-time or part-time (preferably 60% or more) in Munich. The controller will—after successful onboarding—take over responsibility for the monthly actuals analysis and reporting of financial KPIs for the operational IPP portfolio. This role will serve as a sparring partner to IPP Asset Management teams across various countries and as a valuable business partner to IPP Management. Key tasks will include actively monitoring and reporting actuals, as well as conducting in-depth analyses to support decision-making. Additionally, this role will support regular forecasting and mid-term planning processes, represent IPP in group-wide projects (e.g., the rollout of a new ERP system), and contribute to the optimization and implementation of both existing and new processes. What you will do • Analysis of actual figures in close cooperation with IPP Asset Management teams. • Preparation of regular actual reporting for financial P&L and B/S KPIs including comparison of actuals with budget and with forecast. • Support decision-making by leveraging in-depth financial analysis. • Support Group wide forecast and mid-term planning processes. • Liaise with Group Controlling and Group Accounting to ensure consistency and alignment with overall corporate objectives. • Work closely with different stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain consistent processes, standards and templates to maximize operational efficiency. What you’ll need to succeed • University (master’s) degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. • 4 years related work experience in the field of controlling, finance and / or accounting; experience in project management is a plus. • Proficient in implementing and presenting financial analyses. • Strong financial acumen and understanding of business needs. • Knowledge and experience in analysing large sets of data, BI/analytics, reporting platforms and data visualization techniques and tools. • Interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into key messages. • A pro-active and hands-on approach to challenges and getting things done mindset. • Very good command of English; German is a plus.
