ABOUT THE ROLE & THE TEAM As a Senior Market Development Manager, key member of the Strategy and Projects team in CEE you act as partner to the General Manager CEE and Head of Strategy and Projects CEE by identifying and executing strategic opportunities and process improvements, which you will back up with strong data analysis and later execute in the market. Support the development of the long-term market strategy and drive the translation into concrete initiatives or projects. Support the process of defining and aligning a market strategy. Analyze internal and external data (market, competition, customer, company's performance), consolidate insights, monitor market developments and work with functional counterparts on such analyses (incl. strategic business cases). Drive alignment within the extended market team to support implementation of market strategies. Lead strategic projects/programs related to markets end-to-end: from briefing, analysis, and creation of concepts, to presenting your findings to the leadership teams at Zalando. Cooperate with a variety of senior management stakeholders throughout the company, including the top level management of Zalando. Shape and champion an inclusive culture and diverse team environment. WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF You have solid experience and expertise in the Central and Eastern European Market, with Poland being the key market of interest. You bring 6 years of experience in Consulting, Strategy or Business Development, preferably in the ecommerce/fashion/tech environment. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Economics or equivalent with a proven track record in high-quality problem solving, project management and analysis in a previous role. Experience in eCommerce and an understanding of online business models. You're able to take initiative, use good judgement, understand deadlines and carry multiple projects through to completion even with much interruption. Consumer-centric mindset and knowledge of local market consumer, language, competitive set, and market dynamics. Versed in compiling strategy papers and in presenting these to senior management. Proven high-quality problem solving and outstanding analytical skills in a previous role; already demonstrated good capabilities in managing diverse groups of senior stakeholders.
