Responsibilities:
1. Direct material: external machining, turned and milled parts as well as intercompany
2. Development and continuous review of the product group strategy incl. definition of the procurement market
3. Continuous optimization of costs and processes (OTD, availability, replenishment time, quality, innovation, risk & compliance management) for the respective product group
4. Optimization and contractual safeguarding of the supplier base in terms of costs, quality and delivery performance, innovation
5. Technical management of Operator Procurement in cooperation worldwide
6. In each case for the commodity groups of Commodity 2: Materials of Commodity 2 are, for example, SIC, hard metal, oxide ceramics, carbon
7. Close cross-departmental cooperation on topics such as product standardization, product development
8. Supplier management (identification and selection, integration, evaluation, classification, development, risk management)
9. Analysis, structuring & consolidation of purchasing data
10. Identification and implementation of savings potentials
11. Execution of inquiries / tenders incl. negotiation and conclusion of contracts
Qualifications:
12. Successfully completed studies in the field of business administration, industrial engineering or similar or a comparable qualification
13. Several years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management (minimum 5-7 years)
14. Sound knowledge of purchasing
15. Strong negotiating skills and assertiveness in combination with analytical and conceptual skills
16. High degree of initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team as well as an entrepreneurial way of thinking and acting
17. Confident handling of MS Office and SAP MM
18. Fluency in German and English is a prerequisite
19. Knowledge of materials technology for ceramic materials and elastomers is an advantage
20. Willingness to travel
