GXO attaches great importance to 'Quality, Environment, Safety and Health' or QESH. To further strengthen the team and to properly support the expansions within GXO, we are looking for a full-time QESH Officer for our warehouse in Dormagen.
As a QESH Officer you will be developing, secure and continuously improve QESH management systems and performance within the assigned organization and related stakeholders with a primary focus to keep our operations safe and compliant taking in account for example: Safety and Health regulations and the required certification ISO 9001, ISO14001, where needed ISO13485, etc.).
What you do on a typical day:
As a professional of the QESH (Quality, Environment, Safety and Health) department, you make an important contribution to the safe and healthy working of employees and the safety of the products that our customers entrust to us. The purpose of the position is to manage and monitor the quality, occupational health and safety and environmental management systems for this dynamic GXO location with the specific customer requirements. In addition, we ask for a proactive contribution to the development, standardization, optimization and safeguarding of organization-wide business processes. Your tasks include:
Implementing quality, environmental, safety and working conditions policy according and ensuring they fall into German regulations
* Maintenance and improvement regarding follow-up of the established quality management systems through auditing and spot checks
* Assisting operational personnel with incident investigation; provide advice, support and guidance on legal framework. Ensure that learning points are fed into QESH directorate for continued improvement of policy, standards etc.
* Undertaking audits of contract depots and staff on site
* Assisting and supporting with audits by internal and external bodies/ parties for example ISO audits, etc.
* Support local managers on the contact with QESH regulators HSE, Local Authority, Environment Agency etc.) accompanying them on inspections, audits and responding to complaints and queries
* Working within and promoting the philosophy of safe team working and development across all company activities to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance
What you need to be successful in this role:
Knowledge of risk management systems, quality assurance, incident investigation methods
* Auditing experience
* Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding all QESH related topics
* Logistics sector background is a plus
* Fluent proficiency in both German and English
* You are careful, decisive and independent. You like working within a team, and you cope well with stress
