Overview
Shure Europe is responsible for accounting services, including the preparation of financial statements, for the Group's European distribution units. To reinforce our Accounting department in Germany, we are looking for a
Senior Accountant (all genders)
The Senior Account is on one hand responsible for respective entities, organizes, and coordinates the periodic financial and accounting studies and reports to the local tax authorities. On the other hand, the Senior Accountant analyses general ledger accounts according to the local accounting principles of the distribution units as well as the consolidated group accounting. This position is based in Eppingen (Germany).
Responsibilities
1. Leads the process and account analysis for monthly and annual financial statements and ensures the accuracy of supporting documents to meet the requirements of group and local accounting of the distribution
2. Proxy for individual distribution units in the absence of the responsible entity
3. Main contact person for external auditors and local financial service providers, during the preparation and annual audit of financial statements according to group and local
4. Prepares journal entries (including balance sheet accounts, income statement reviews, and results of foreign subsidiaries) for month-end
5. Prepares reports and analysis to get clarification on accounting treatments of business transactions for local management and group
6. Assists other departments with questions around financial accounting as
7. Permanent review of accounting principles in accordance with group and local accounting for all distribution
8. Sparring partner for ad-hoc enquiries and the development of financial systems as well as their master
Qualifications
9. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and an additional Finance specialized training (Bilanzbuchhalter m-w-d).
10. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, including financial statements.
11. Experienced in applying the German Accounting Principles (HGB) as well as international accounting rules. .
12. Profound knowledge and proven experience of internal control assessments.
13. Confident handling of common Microsoft systems, advanced Excel skills are required.
14. SAP ECC experience is expected and first experience with SAP S4 HANA is an advantage.
15. Demonstrated analytical skills, good organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to work on multiple challenges at the same time.
16. Hands-on mentality, willingness to challenge the status-quo and high IT affinity.
17. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
18. Ability to travel internationally.
