We are currently looking for a Manager Business Process Monitoring who ensures that IT operations run smoothly, service disruptions are minimized, and the organization’s IT infrastructure supports its business objectives effectively. To be a perfect fit you have a deep experience in the optimization of IT operation, technical and business process monitoring, software development, and common IT systems prevalent in European commodity trading. Your tasks and responsibilities will be as follows:
7. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of business process and IT service monitoring using the EnBW frameworks, ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with business objectives. Act in the role of a product owner to build strong customer relationships and manage requests and portfolio.
8. Develop, configure, and manage alarm systems for 24/7 operations, including setting thresholds, creating escalation policies, and implementing incident response protocols to ensure swift resolution of issues.
9. Provide expert consulting on the use of EnBW frameworks for monitoring and business process optimization, collaborating with IT service teams, developers, and business analysts to ensure the monitoring systems meet organizational needs. Be the first point of contact and interface between DataDog Support and Business users.
10. Oversee the technical administration, maintenance, and user management of the monitoring platform, ensuring it remains an easy-to-use, self-service tool that supports scalability and resilience.
11. Create and maintain a monitoring catalogue that details existing monitors and provides a framework for integrating monitoring data early in the development process to support automation and efficient operations.
12. Collect, analyse, and report on key business process metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization, and present insights through detailed reports and visualizations.
13. Implement security monitoring within the EnBW environment to detect and respond to security incidents, ensuring all monitoring practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Who are we looking for? Someone who’s passionate about bringing Trading IT services back to life in the event of fault and to provide operational services within the highly complex technical world of Energy Trading. Your expertise ensures that our international support team performs effectively and efficiently close to our customers' needs and their complex business processes. Together with your international team of internal and external experts you will help the EnBW Trading department to reduce operational risks. If you have proven experience in the following domains, we should get to know each other:
14. University degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or in a related field according to experience. Proven track record of relevant professional experience in IT.
15. Develop and implement long-term IT monitoring strategies with a visionary mindset.
16. Proficient in using monitoring solutions like DataDog or Nagios for setting up dashboards, metrics, and alerts, with deep knowledge of its features, functionalities, and custom scripting for tailored monitoring solutions.
17. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including proficiency with cloud-native tools like Kubernetes and Docker, as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
18. Skilled in data collection, analysis, and visualization, with expertise in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R), and capable of creating detailed reports and custom dashboards.
19. Experienced in setting up and managing monitoring and alerting systems, with knowledge of incident response protocols, log management tools (e.g., ELK stack), and playbook development.
20. Well-versed in security monitoring tools and practices, with an understanding of compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and experience in implementing security alerts and incident management.
21. Skilled in interpreting monitoring data to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and recommend improvements to monitoring systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
22. Proficient in conducting impact analyses, managing risks, and overseeing change management processes, with a focus on communication, documentation, and continuous improvement of change-related activities.
23. Knowledge about commodity and energy trading is a plus.
24. Language Skills: English (mandatory), German is a plus.
