The School of Mechanical Engineering and Safety Engineering, Chair of Materials for Additive Manufacturing, invites applications for a position as Research Assistant (postdoc) in the field of additive manufacturing of metals This position is to be filled as soon as possible up to 3 years and with 100 % of the tariff working hours (part-time is possible, please state when applying whether you would also be interested in a part-time job). Salary: E 13 TV-L You will be employed to work independently on research topics in the field of additive manufacturing of powder-based metallic and intermetallic materials. Your work will focus either on material or process development. You will be jointly responsible for the expansion and maintenance of the laboratory equipment, take on organizational tasks, regularly take part in meetings and actively exchange ideas with partners. Other tasks that await you are Documentation, publication and presentation of scientific research results Creative development and pursuit of new research approaches through to the submission of proposals Interdisciplinary collaboration in our international team Participation in teaching (in the amount of 4 LVS) You have successfully completed a master-s degree as well as a doctorate in materials science, mechanical engineering, physics or similar, are interested in additive manufacturing of metallic materials and would like to gain further qualifications in your postdoc phase.
