IT Business Solutions – Life & Health delivers business value through the management of IT projects and products for Munich Re´s life and Health (L&H) businesses. We have a mix of products that support these businesses, and the goal is to provide stable services while partnering with the business to drive the product strategy through enhancements and projects.
Your job
1. Project planning, scheduling, resourcing and dependency management following the approved Munich Re project management methodology based on PMBOK and Agile practices.
2. Estimations, scope management and execution of projects for scope, time budget and quality.
3. Manage business requirements and ensure these are agreed at all levels throughout the business utilizing formal methodologies
4. Documenting and managing project change control, Risk and Issue Management for the project, plan and monitor measures for mitigation and avoidance of impact on the project.
5. Liaison with, and management of, suppliers to produce project deliverables
6. Coordinate project deliveries and ensure their sign-off.
7. Reporting project progress using agreed reporting lines, templates and processes
8. Leading of project team and steering committee meetings, Ensure and coordinate cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
9. Management of escalations within team, with project sponsor and stakeholders
10. Bespoke software development and system integration: managing the software development cycle in incremental iterations based on agile software development methodology (Scrum like)
11. Undertake learning of IT offerings to identify and provide business units with expertise and advice on how best to utilise within their business processes
12. Ensure compliance to obligatory rules (including regulators requirements according to MR Policies and Guidelines)
Your profile
13. University degree in IT or comparable qualification
14. Qualifications and experience of one or more industry recognised best practise project management delivery methodologies i.e. PMP, PRINCE 2-certified, Agile methodologies (preferable)
15. Strong project delivery background (ideally from a consultancy) with more recent experience within the financial services
16. Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering critical and complex IT system related projects within financial services
17. Experience in data transformation projects within the financial services
18. Proven experience in Agile software development and lifecycle methodologies (SCRUM)
19. Demonstrable change project management experience
20. Strong communication, facilitation, presentation & negotiation skills
21. Knowhow and experience in state of the art information technology
22. Ability to work with third parties and offshore development teams
23. Strong Executive Stakeholder project communications skills
24. Adaptable and able to work in small team and often pressurised environment – flexible and able to get the job done.

30. CII qualifications and ITIL-certified
31. Strong candidates would have held positions of Business Architect, Project / Programme Manager, Management Consultant, Change Project / Programme Manager
32. Deep understanding of operational impacts from business and IT change
33. Experience in requirements engineering, business analysis and translation of business demands into system specifications
34. Lloyds/Company Market (re)insurance experience with a good knowledge of products and markets
