Role Overview:
The candidate will be working closely with our Finance as well as our local Management team, to drive and improve performance and effectiveness. To achieve this, the candidate will need to combine analytical and collaborative skills, working close with several stakeholders in Germany and group operations.
You will lead our finance unit with 6 team members and report to our Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for Board and Management financial reporting including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
* Annual accounts and Financial reports according to the German Commercial Code (HGB) and group accounts according to IFRS
* Manage tax compliance
* Responsibility for development and maintenance of Reporting processes for financial, sales, marketing, operations processes
* Development and implementation of corrective measures for mayor deviations of the annual budget and financial targets of the business unit
* Ensuring data are used effectively – for example in relation to headcount, return on capital on machine capex and working capital management. Work closely with business leaders to identify future requirements
* Developing a “future state” finance function for Safetykleen Germany, with alignment of roles and structures, in order to deliver efficiencies and savings from the new ERP system

Baseline Qualifications:
* Successfully completed university studies with a focus in Controlling or Finance areas, master level preferred but not exclusive
* Solid professional experience in comparable national/international and interdisciplinary reporting and controlling functions
* Strong conceptualization of development and implementation of initiatives
* Excellent MS Office (Excel) skills
* Knowledge of ERP and reporting software, ideally Hyperion
* Fluent written and oral English and German language skills are required
