Hardware System Architect – High-Data-Rate Communication Systems (FCAS)
* Location: Preference for Berlin, with Munich as an alternative.
* Remote Work: Up to 60% flexibility.
* Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
* Contract Duration: 18 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months.
* Tentative Start Date: February 3, 2025.
Responsibilities:
* Develop hardware architecture for next-generation broadband communication systems in modern aircraft.
* Design hardware architectures with a focus on modularity, performance, and partitioning across hardware, firmware, and software.
* Define system interfaces and ensure alignment with software architecture and system engineering principles.
* Evaluate highly integrated System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions, RF, and digital design considerations.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in hardware system architectures for radio communication.
* Familiarity with modern aircraft systems and their integration requirements.
* Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and experience with DOORS.
* Strong analytical and systematic approach to device architecture and system integration.
* Fluency in German (C1) and basic proficiency in English.
