Services and acts as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the MPE USAREUR network and cyber-related operations and system support activities. Conducts analysis of defensive cyberspace events to delineate cyber tactics, techniques and procedures, assessment of impact to current and future operations, within the HQ USAREUR MPE network area of responsibility (AOR). Coordinates with staff and service component commands Defensive Cyberspace Operations staff, and Department of Defense (DoD) organizations to determine the best approach to plan, direct, coordinate, and synchronize defensive cyberspace operations. Specialized Experience and Other Related Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing strategies, policies, and programs related to cyberspace operations in an operational environment; 2) Advising executive leadership in making informed decisions that enhance the security posture of DoD systems and networks; and 3) Maintain awareness of DoD and industry standards, tools, processes, and evaluate the impact of the introduction of new products and techniques into an operational environment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
