The Team Lead, Purchasing will be responsible for leading and overseeing both procurement activities and aerospace-related projects within our organization. They will drive efficient procurement processes and contribute to the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives
2. Lead a procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment
3. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish mutually beneficial relationships
4. Monitor supplier performance, manage vendor relationships, and implement improvement plans as needed
5. Ensure procurement activities adhere to budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize procurement processes
7. Manage aerospace projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure project milestones are achieved
9. Coordinate the allocation of resources, monitor project progress, and address any issues that arise
10. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet all necessary
11. Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes, such as implementing e-procurement systems or adopting sustainable sourcing practices
12. Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize aerospace project workflows, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
13. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures in both procurement and aerospace activities
14. Implement and maintain relevant certifications and accreditations required for aerospace projects
Basic Qualifications:
15. 3 years of experience managing a Procurement team
16. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aerospace Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
17. Proven experience in procurement management, supplier relationship management, and aerospace project management
18. Strong understanding of aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices
19. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
20. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
21. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems
22. Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems for procurement and project management
