We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Business Resilience Specialist (f/m/d).
In line with the ever-evolving operations and technology threat landscape, Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) is continuing to invest in our business resilience capabilities.
The Business Resilience Specialist (f/m/d) will be a key member of a diverse global team mainly taking care of Regulatory Compliance & Reporting.
In this role, you will focus on ensuring regulatory compliance with frameworks such as DORA, while also supporting operational resilience activities including Incident and Crisis Management, Business Continuity, ITSCM, and Protective Security.
The role involves managing regulatory reporting, maintaining compliance frameworks, coordinating incident response (both IT and non-IT), and aligning with internal stakeholders across functions at local, regional, and global levels.
The position is based in our office in Frankfurt.
What you will do
* Lead regulatory and management systems compliance efforts across business resilience domains: Focus on DORA and operational resilience, continuity, and security regulations to ensure compliance and effective response to audits and regulator queries
* Lead standards and best practices compliance efforts across business resilience domains: Focus on maintaining the business resilience framework and related management systems to be in line with best practices and standards such as ISO and maintain compliance and certifications
* Act as Incident Coordinator for both IT and non-IT incidents: Manage end-to-end response, escalation, communications, and documentation for incidents, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and real-world risks
* Maintain and enhance incident response and crisis management plans: Continuously improve plans in line with regulations and best practices, ensuring they address real-world risks and regulatory requirements
* Support Business Continuity (BCP) and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) planning: Plan, test, and maintain BCP and ITDR across key business areas and critical services to ensure readiness and compliance
* Manage incident management tools and resilience systems: Ensure consistent processes, tracking, and reporting across regions and functions, optimizing tools for documentation and reporting
* Deliver resilience-related training, simulations, and awareness programs: Build organizational readiness and compliance culture through training and simulations on incident management and regulatory duties
* Collaborate with Risk, IT, Legal, Cybersecurity, and other key teams: Align resilience activities and integrate regulatory expectations across functions, ensuring a cohesive approach to resilience and compliance
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps and benchmarking best practices: Enhance resilience capabilities to meet evolving regulatory and operational demands, identifying compliance gaps and improving processes
* Lead regular resilience and incident response testing: Conduct and document outcomes of resilience and incident response testing to ensure preparedness and compliance
* Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into internal requirements and controls: Stay current with industry practices, ensuring internal controls and processes are updated to meet regulatory expectations
What you bring
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of regulatory insight and resilience expertise, including:
* Proven experience in regulatory compliance and reporting related to Business Resilience, particularly in the context of DORA, operational risk, and IT/cyber regulations
* Hands-on involvement in coordinating regulatory submissions, audit responses, and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
* Solid understanding of key Business Resilience components, including Business Continuity (BCP), IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR), Incident and Crisis Management, and Protective Security
* Experience supporting or leading incident response efforts for both IT and non-IT incidents, including acting as an Incident Coordinator
* Practical experience with resilience testing, continuity exercises, and developing crisis response documentation
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey technical and regulatory information clearly to both business and technical stakeholders
* A primary degree is required
* 4–6 years of experience in Business Resilience, Regulatory Compliance, or related fields, ideally in a regulated or multinational environment
* Familiarity with incident and resilience management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Archer, Everbridge...) and reporting tools
* Additional qualifications such as CBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, ISO 22301 Lead auditor are highly desirable
