Hauptaufgaben Performs duties as Supply Clerk in the receiving, storage or warehousing sites of Supply Activity Europe (SAE). This includes the receipt, storage and issue of material. Incumbent must have the ability to read and understand material receipt and shipment documents. Operates automated data processing systems. Serves as storekeeper to determine lay-out of assigned storage in accordance with supply, storage, and safety regulations, policies, procedures and other instructions. Applies proper storage methods to ensure accessibility of material for storage, issue, inventory and inspection considering quantity, shelf live and condition code of material. Is responsible for inventory and denial research processing and similar factors. Checks quantity, USA number, Serial number, Stock number, availability of required Technical inspection sheets (Log Book DA Form 2408-9, Maintenance Inspection Sheet DA form 2407 or DA 5504, Vehicle Classification Inspection DA 461-5, and Request for Disposition or Waiver DA form 3590), Transportation Control Movement Document ( TCMD, DD form 1384-2 ), Disposition Instruction ( Control Number ) from 200th TAMMC, Turn-in document ( DD 1348-1 ) TAMMC records, shortage list of components. Assists units in establishing and obtaining required documentation in case of incomplete documentation. Signs TCMD and Turn-in Document to acknowledge the physical receipt on installation and to clear unit property book for subject item. Inspects material for conformance to quality standards and procedures, transit damage, completeness of records, external appearance, preservation and packing, special handling markings, or other quality acceptance factors. Checks for deficiencies affecting quality, such as dents, broken components, grade of corrosion, exceeded shelf life for components, etc. Applies own experience to establish proper identity for material received without documentation or any identification markings. Conducts extensive and exhaustive research to obtain information required for material identification. Coordinates with various organizations of higher level echelon i.e. TLSC-E, 200th TAMMC, in order to obtain appropriate disposition for material identification. Based on guidance received, establish manually documentation for posting purposes. Serves as storekeeper to determine lay-out of assigned storage area in accordance with supply, storage and safety regulations, procedures, policies and other instructions. Applies proper storage methods to ensure accessibility of items for storage, issue, inventory and inspection considering quantity and condition code of material expected future requirements, turn over rate and similar factors. Incumbent is responsible for the processing, pulling, and issuing material on the basis of a proper shipping document (Material Release Order, MRO ). Checks and verifies information on document and prepares material for shipment. Measures length, width, height and calculates the cube of the equipment. Refers subject information with document to transportation personnel, through appropriate channels, in order to determine the mode of transportation (rail car, commercial, Army owned, transportation assets). Performs frequent visual checks on stocks on hand. Participates in clean up of residues, debris on equipment in storage, prior shipment and ensures proper disposal of items not belonging to the equipment, or posting to Army Balance File (ABF). Initiates special quality inspections, to determine the true condition code, if an item displays a certain degree of deterioration in storage. Participates in spill contingency operations to the extend determined by supervisor. Complies with safety requirements and uses the assigned safety equipment. In line with the performance of duties may be required to operate material handling equipment, or rolling stock equipment. Investigates and reconciles routine and recurring discrepancies relating to customer complaints or discrepancies found during material releases to customers or storage operations. Searches through applicable documentation to determine the cause(s) of discrepancies. Periodically surveys storage area for proper utilization of storage space and prepares required storage space occupancy feeder report. Performs location maintenance with a computerized system. Enters data such as, detailed storage location of equipment, stock number, USA and Serial number, condition code etc. into this system and ensures data exchange with various organizations. Operates a Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) workstation. Signs on to the GCSS-A as directed by log prompts on screen, which includes entering user ID and password. Uses keyboard or Personal Data Collection Device (PDCD) to enter transactions, such as receipt processing, shipment processing etc. Uses various menus and screens to enter, retrieve and / or manipulate supply information from display or direct input selection; inquiry input information screens for instructions or explanations; or uses interactive screens for data input. Reviews input and output to verify correctness, applying a thorough knowledge of data to be processed and familiarity with input and output procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
