Position Overview: Join a leading 3rd party logistics firm as a Global Business Development Director. This crucial role is focused on expanding this client's presence in the Contract Logistics space.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work on establishing connections with global accounts with HQs in Germany.
2. Formulate and execute strategic growth plans to penetrate FMCG, Electronics & Retail clients in the €5-€7bn revenue category.
3. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure the company is considered for Global RFQ process.
4. Conduct comprehensive market analysis to uncover trends and new opportunities.
5. Collaborate with internal teams in a matrix structure to lead tenders utilizing relationships built.
6. Develop and present persuasive proposals and presentations to prospective customers.
7. Stay informed on industry dynamics to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
2. Demonstrated success in onboarding global accounts in contract logistics.
3. In-depth knowledge of logistics requirements specific to FMCG, Retail, Electronics.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
5. Native German & Professional English languages are a must.
