We deliver services all around Data Product creation, Data Strategy, Data & AI Governance and Projects. By promoting good data practices and enabling responsible AI usage, we unlock the value of data for human and machine use for our internal partners.RESPONSIBILITIESSetting up a Data & AI Governance Framework and related processes for Group Data & AI Office activities – with a focus on AI.Develop and maintain data & AI governance documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelinesCollaborate with Corporate Centre and Divisional Data teams to support and facilitate execution of guidelines and policies around data and AI; Facilitate governance processes for Global Digital Services (Data & AI Powerhouse) teamsCollaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure a coordinated approach to data & AI governanceLiaise with the BASF Legal departments on monitored changes in laws and regulations related to data and AI management and ensure that the organization's data & AI governance practices align with these requirements and changesManage implementation of data roles and responsibilities (ownership model) in the business unitsWork with AI application and infrastructure owners and translate legal and regulatory obligations to technical requirements to ensure the effective implementation of data & AI governance practicesDevelop and initiate governance processes, templates, and best practices and share them across the organization; e.g. establish data and AI Model classification standards and data access controls, develop and implement data quality standards and processes, data retention and deletion policiesCreate transparency and stakeholder exchange on Data and AI Governance activities and maturity, and initiate improvementsIdentify, evaluate, and manage data risks and mitigation strategies, especially with a focus on data for AI use casesEnsure that data & AI governance practices align with the organization's overall business objectives, e.g. by supporting development and delivering data governance training programsConduct data & AI governance audits and compliance assessmentsEstablish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the data & AI governance programQUALIFICATIONSDegree in business administration, legal, or a comparable completed education with many years of professional experience in various fieldsPractical experience in developing and applying AI governance frameworksKnowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to AI and dataExperience in the area of data/data stewardship and similar profilesStructured work mode in a complex environment, ideally with experience in project managementExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsBENEFITSA secure work environment because your health, safety and wellbeing is always our top priority.Flexible work schedule and Home-office options, so that you can balance your working life and private life.Learning and development opportunities23 holiday days per year5 additional days (readjustment)2 cultural daysA collaborative, trustful and innovative work environmentBeing part of an international team and work in global projectsRelocation assistance to Madrid provided
