Chemours is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our EMEA Marketing and Business Development team. This position will lead business development activities for the HVAC-R industry in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and Product Management teams. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, customer-focused problem solver with strong business acumen and a natural curiosity for discovering unmet needs and opportunities within the reference market. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Market Expertise and Value Proposition Development : Gain in-depth knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and the value chain. Identify opportunities for new product development and partnerships, creating tailored value propositions that resonate with decision makers and stakeholders such as OEMs, end-users, distributors. Leverage insights to evaluate new markets, applications, or even new business models to increase energy efficiency and new low global warming potential solutions for the value chain. Strategic Relationship Building : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across various levels and functions (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, marketing) within targeted market segments such as commercial/transport refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pumps. Engage high-level contacts to understand their decision-making processes and align Opteon™ solutions to their needs. Develop and maintain an updated view of the associative scenario in the reference territory including, wherever possible, key actors, decision makers and influencers. Report information and coordinate actions with the relevant functions (technology, sales, advocacy). Marketing and Measurable Outcomes : Drive market penetration through seminars, field case studies, and marketing initiatives that highlight Chemours technologies. Demonstrate tangible results in lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth, while analyzing market gaps to guide strategic planning. The Following Is Required for This Role: • Location: based in Germany, preferably, but not limited, on the Ruhr-Frankfurt area, with main traveling activities in Germany and Austria, as well as potentially other European countries on specific projects. • University level or higher educational background preferably in engineering or chemical engineering, MBA preferred. • Min. 10 years sales & business development experience in B2B chemicals, food retail, convenience, or the cold storage, heath Pump industry. • Well-developed interpersonal skills in building strong relationships with both customers and internal supporting organizations, thinking outside the box. • Fluent in German and English, other European language capabilities are a bonus. • Travel up to 50% of time. The Following Is Preferred for This Role: • Experience in leading business development activities or related initiatives • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers or partners (internal/external). • Experience in interpreting and analyzing data to guide strategy. • Demonstrated project management skills. • Strong business acumen and the ability to engage with many stakeholders, including senior management. • Results oriented. • Good team player. • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of Salesforce.com a bonus. • Compliance with safety guidelines, practices, business ethics and internal control processes. Pay Range (in local currency): €76,000.00 - €118,750.00 Chemours Level: 25 Annual Bonus Target: The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation.
